JEE Main 2027 Test Series: How Milestone Tests and Grand Mocks Fit Your Preparation

How the PrepMatrix JEE Main 2027 test series works: 12 part-syllabus Milestone Tests, 30 full-syllabus Grand Mocks, and how to use each to improve your score.

Most JEE aspirants take mock tests. Far fewer take them at the right time, in the right order, and learn from each one. The PrepMatrix JEE Main 2027 Test Series is built around that idea: test what you have just studied, then test everything together, again and again.

Two kinds of tests, two different jobs

Matrix Milestone Tests (MMT) — 12 tests, part syllabus

A Milestone Test covers only a few chapters from Physics, Chemistry and Maths — the ones you are expected to have finished by its date. They answer one question: have I really understood what I studied this month?

  • Take them soon after finishing the chapters, not months later.
  • A low score is useful: it tells you exactly which chapters need another pass while they are still fresh.
  • Revisit every wrong and skipped question before the next Milestone Test.

Matrix Grand Mocks (MGM) — 30 tests, full syllabus

Grand Mocks follow the full JEE Main pattern and syllabus. They train what part-syllabus tests cannot: switching between subjects, choosing which questions to leave, and keeping your accuracy high for three hours.

  • Sit them exactly like the real exam: one sitting, a quiet room, no breaks, no notes.
  • Track your score, accuracy and time per subject across mocks — the trend matters more than any single score.

A simple rhythm that works

  1. Study the chapters on the schedule.
  2. Take the Milestone Test on its date (every test unlocks at 9 A.M IST).
  3. Analyse it the same day — read every solution, not only the ones you got wrong.
  4. Fix the gaps with topic-wise practice before moving on.
  5. In the final months, shift to Grand Mocks and full-paper analysis.

What you get after every test

  • Detailed solutions for every question.
  • Subject-wise and topic-wise analysis, so you can see which chapters cost you marks.

Make the most of it

Mock tests only help if you act on them. Keep a short "mistakes notebook": for every wrong answer, write the concept, why you got it wrong (concept, calculation or reading), and the correct approach. Read it before every test.
